About ukiro.music

ukiro.music is my outlet to discuss, in somewhat equal parts, my passions for music and the equipment that plays the music. The equipment on review will primarily be in the higher end of the hifi spectrum, while the music will be coming far more from the outskirts of the sonic landscape than the standard audiophile fare. My content lives primarily on YouTube but is aggregated here.

What's "ukiro"?

The name of the channel is based on a made-up word I registered as a domain name some 25 years ago, but I'm told it can kinda sorta be read as "floating man" in Japanese. Hopefully that's correct—I don't speak Japanese—but either way there's no intended meaning. It's just an online moniker of the kind that people of my generation assigned to themselves in the 90's and early 2000's.

Whu sign up?

You actually don't need to sign up at all. It's just that community and newsletters are a core part of the platform this site is built on, called ghost.org. How I utilize will likely evolve over time, but if you're interested in my content the easiest way to follow along is to subscribe to the YouTube channel.
